Auckland Council

This week we had a great day when Mr Bailey and Kristy (From park department) came to hear our park ideas.
We had Victoria share her story about the huge park that she saw when she had a holiday in Aussie.
It had a tennis courts, a toddler play ground, a little kids play ground and a senior play ground.
They had a soccer field, a ruby field and other sport courts and fields.

Mrs Bailey told a few Boys/Girls that we should put together a paper and cardboard 3D park.
That did not go that well, it was just about to fall over when Riley said that we needed a new plan.
We used SketchUp to make this happen.
Here is the end result! We hope you like it!

It was made by Tristan, Riley, Gabe, Ryan, Michael, Mrs Bailey and Victoria (ideas).

We showed this to Mr Bailey and Kristy and they said that it would be to expensive to put it all together
and they could make parts of them go to the parks around Wattle Downs.
This is really good. They talked to us about how expensive this will be.

Jared.R had a idea to do a fundraiser so our school could help buy parts of the park.

Soon we will be looking at the prices of park equipment and Mrs Bailey is going to give us a price limit and we would need to see what we can buy that is fun with a small amount of money.

A thanks to Mr Bailey and Kristy for coming in and telling us about the Auckland Council.
